Due to the serious mechanical obsolescence, it could not be used normally in 2017. Shenyang Watch Factory no longer produces this type of tower clock, and it is impossible to buy various accessories, so it is out of use. At the same time, after many professionals went to the site to check and verify, the tower clock is no longer worth repairing. In carrying out the practical activities of "I do practical things for the masses", the Municipal Transportation Bureau widely listened to the opinions and suggestions of the masses, and after research by the Party Committee of the Bureau, it decided to spend more than 100,000 yuan to purchase a new tower clock.

The newly purchased tower clock is an electronic four-sided tower clock customized by the well-known domestic brand Polaris Clock Co., Ltd. The clock dial of the tower clock is 7.2 meters * 6.6 meters. It adopts an independent control system, has the characteristics of high accuracy and good compatibility, and also has functions such as automatic timekeeping, automatic GPS satellite time calibration, night pointer lighting, and anti-electromagnetic interference. It was designed, produced, and installed on-site by the manufacturer, and it took three months to complete the installation and commissioning. The time is 7 am, 12 pm, and 7 pm every day, and the time-telling music is the traditional bell "The East is Red".
