On April 25, 2016, as all the equipment for the Djibouti-Ethiopia Railway clock system undertaken by our company on the production line was packed, another batch of orders for export to Africa were successfully completed and are waiting for shipment.
The Djibouti-Ethiopia Railway is the first modern cross-border railway in East Africa, with a total length of about 770 kilometers, connecting the Port of Djibouti, the capital of Djibouti, the key point of the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, and Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, a major African country. After the completion and opening of the railway, it will be of great significance to solving the transportation problems of Ethiopia, a major African country, and promoting economic exchanges and people-to-people exchanges between Ethiopia and Djibouti. It will also better promote the construction of regional integration in East Africa.
The Djibouti-Ethiopia Railway is also the first electrified railway built by Chinese companies overseas using a full set of "Chinese standards". From design, construction, supervision, to track materials, construction equipment, communication signals and electrification equipment, locomotives and vehicles, all use Chinese technology and products. The technical and process requirements of the clock system equipment purchased in this project are very high. The Polaris time synchronization system developed and produced by our company meets all the requirements of the project procurement equipment.
Previously, we have continuously provided Polaris clock systems for key railway projects in Asian and African countries such as the Nigeria Aka Railway, Abuja Light Rail, and Vietnam Northern Railway. In recent years, Polaris and many other Chinese companies have been integrated into the overall situation of national economic and trade development such as the "Belt and Road" economic strategy and the "China-Africa model", and have played their due role in China's economic development.
